Snowman tealight easel cards

Today I'm sharing a fun snowman tealight easel card I made a couple of months ago after seeing these cute snowmen on Becky Roberts blog. I thought putting him on an easel would be really cute & he does really make me smile.
I followed Becky's snowman instructions using circle punches plus, large & xl oval punches so check them out here. I did add an extra oval punch shape behind the head, so the hat fitted better. I also had some black rhinestones in my stash so I used them for the eyes & mouth. You can see my snowman closer here.

Here's another version with his little nose lit up. I cut a small circle through the easel backing using the smallest circle framelit die so that the tealight can easily be switched on & off.
With a nose this big, he needed a box to live in rather than an envelope, so I cut a circle window in
one of our great kraft gift boxes. Here he is packed in his box.
I made some single snowmen too, but I forgot to take pics of them, so that's all from me for now. If you'd like any more info, just leave me a comment with your details. Thanks for visiting.
Inky wishes, Di

Hi Diane, I just saw your snowman easel card on Paper Punch Addition. I love this card! Would you share the overall dimensions of the card? Thank you so much!

Hi Kim
Thanks for your comment. I don't have the original cards anymore so I can't tell the dimensions for sure, however I think it would have been the normal small one I use:

Front: 10 x 10cm (4 x 4 inches)
Cut Base: 10 x 30cm (4 x 12 inches)
Score at 10, 15, 20 cm (4, 6, 8 inches).

Hope that helps, Di

Are the tealights the regular round ones?

Hi Barbara
Yes, the battery tealights are regular sized ones, not the votive size. Hope that helps.

Hi Diane,
I saw your cute little snowman tea light and I would love to have the directions for making the easel card. I gave the directions from Brecky Robert's blog but I haven't the first idea of how to make him sit right on the easel part of the card. The box directions would be great too if you have the time. Thanks so much.
Sincerely,
Bonnie

Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for your comment. I don’t have specific instructions but I’ve shared easel card dimensions and scores in the comments above.
To fit the tea light onto the card, simply position & mark where the switch will go. Then just cut a little circle in that space with a circle die. Then attach the tea light on front with glue dots or strong double sided tape.
The box was a premade one from SU. Just google a simple tab box & make the dimensions match the card.
Happy creating
Di
