I decided to play along, so I created this card using my brand spanking new 'Baroque Motifs' set. I've coveted this set for ages, so it was at the top of my new Idea Book & Catalogue order list.
The colours are a totally yummy combination of close to cocoa, chocolate chip, soft sky & very vanilla. The card took a little while to come together, as I usually have a layout in mind before I pick colours, so it was interesting to do this in reverse. I am happy with the end result though. So what do you think - did I meet the challenge?Instructions
Base – Cut close to cocoa base (front is 10.5 cm x 10.5 cm). Stamp cocoa greeting onto vanilla card & attach to base. Stamp swirl & a few small flowers on soft sky card with soft sky ink. Punch out scallop edge using the new smaller corner rounder (guard removed). Wrap chocolate grosgrain ribbon (retired) around the front & attach card to base. Stamp 4 small flowers in soft sky with cocoa centres (using cocoa marker for centre). Cut out flowers & position around swirl with dimensionals.
Motif: Stamp 2 large flowers (1 in soft sky, 1 in cocoa) & cut out. Stamp 1 small cocoa flower & cut out. Attach with dimensionals & a pretty 'ice' rhinestone brad. Punch out 2 choc chip 5 petal flowers & attach under flowers. Attach whole motif onto base with dimensionals.
