KW's Colour Challenge 18 – who knew?

Kristina's back with a new colour challenge, so here I go again. I got a bit of shock when I saw this week's colours. They're sooooo not me & I would have never thought to put them together, but hey, that's why it's a challenge. I discovered that I quite liked the rose, pumpkin & summer sun together though...maybe not so much with black. I would have liked to use white, but it wasn't a stated colour, so I tried to work without it. Anyway, here's the inspiration pic: & my card:It's a really simple layout & uses very limited supplies. Just strips of rose red, summer sun & pumpkin pie card, matted on black card & stamped in black stayz-on ink with a gorgeous stamp from 'One of a Kind' (which I also used for Kristina's last challenge, here). I wanted to use some ribbon, but I didn't have any co-ordinating ribbon, so I coloured black & white gingham ribbon with my rose red marker. I attached this to a Styled Silver Hodgepodge frame & wrapped it around the card. The greeting is also from 'One of a Kind'. Finally, I mounted the whole piece onto a rose red base with dimensionals.
Supplies:
Stamps: One of a Kind
Card: rose red, pumpkin pie, summer sun, basic black
Ink: black stayz-on
Accessories: Styled silver hodgepodge, black & white gingham ribbon
