Live Your Dream class project

Just a quickie post to show you the second card we made at my January Summer Mini class (wow, I'm still so behind on posting!).Just about everything I used is from the Summer Mini, For this card, we used the elegantly simple 'Live your Dream' set & co-ordinating 'Afternoon Tea' designer paper. The colours are groovy guava, chocolate chip, old olive & ruby red.

The chocolate linen look paper is the back of the guava floral piece, so all I did was cut a rectangle the right size to fit the page, then cut the bottom piece off & turn it over to show the other side & attached them both to a piece of choc chip card. I wrapped some stitched chocolate grosgrain ribbon around the panel (can't get enough of this ribbon at the moment).
For the flower & stem I coloured the petals with a groovy guava ink pad, then added some detail with a ruby red marker & finally an old olive marker for the stem. The flower panel is mounted on groovy guava (with some ruby red brads in the centres) & attached to the base with dimensionals. The greeting (Occasional Greetings) is stamped in chocolate & punched out with the small oval & mounted on a large ruby red oval. Here's a close up of the coloured flower panel. Boy I'm going to miss guava!
Next time, I'll start showing you my February class projects. Bye for now & thanks for visiting. Di
