Megs
is not a pink, girly girl, so I wanted to make something elegant & a triple time card fitted the bill nicely....plus I'd been dying to try it. I made a
square version using the new Daydream Medallions stamp set I
received at Convention in May (cool huh!). The set has a series of
floral/swirly elements which I think were perfect for the technique. I have the clear mount version & happily discovered the smaller stamps can be placed on the block inside the larger flowers, making it even quicker & easier to stamp.
Dawn's triple time refers to the quick technique used to stamp 3 pieces of card, which are laid on top of one another & stamped at the same time. You then separate the stamped layers & add a mat layer between each of them. For this card, I added 2 mats for each layer, to add a bit more colour. Then I couldn't resist adding a bit of pretty with the scrunched flower & pleated ribbon. My finished card front was 13.5 x 13.5cm. I have a list of layer measurements...somewhere, so I'll add to this post when I find them.
It's well & truly bedtime now, so I'll say bye for now. Thanks for visiting & I'll be back soon.
Inky wishes, Di
