50 happy years - 2 golden anniversary cards

During December, both my lovely Mum & Dad in-law & one of my class lovelies celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary - how wonderful is that?
My aim was to create a soft, elegant card with of course some gold so I came up with these blackberry bliss, gold & vanilla creations.
This one was Mum & Dad's card. It's hard to see (late in the day photo - sorry), but I stamped the lace background (I Love  Lace) with gold encore ink & clear embossed it for glossy gold shine. Normally I'd have used versamark ink with gold embossing powder but to my shock & surprise I didn't have gold embossing powder (what!).  You can maybe see the embossing better in this close-up of the label framelits with gold foil layer.
My friend's card was similar. I didn't add the ribbon, but included a scallop edge (dotted scallop ribbon border punch).
Both cards looked so much prettier in real life, but hopefully you get the idea.
Thanks for stopping by today. Leave me a comment if you have any questions. Remember to pin & like the post if you enjoyed my project.
Inky wishes, Di

  1. Thank you so much for sharing your anniversary cards! I am casing the one with the dotted scallop edge border on the sentiment. I love your choices of colors....very rich looking. My brother and his wife are celebrating 50 years together. I think they will enjoy having this card. Your tips on making the cards were very helpful. TFS!
