The biggest star of the SU Annual Catalogue launch was definitely the Daisy punch & coordinating Daisy Delight stamp set. I thought this pretty & so useful bundle deserved a class all of its own, so back in June that's what I did.
I didn't share the cards then as the punch was on backorder - it outsold any SU punch of the last 5 years in just a couple of weeks - so it seemed a bit mean to share something you couldn't have. Happily, you can order to your hearts delight now, so this week I'll be sharing some daisy magic with you.
Our first class project was this soft, pretty card with a country feel.
The pretty daisies are stamped in so saffron ink on so saffron card using the Daisy Punch (large daisy) & Blossom Builder punch (small daisy).
Each daisy includes 3 punched shapes. I burnished the large daisy with the rounded end of the piercing tool & bone folder to create shape. For the small daisy I lightly stamped with the daisy centre stamp to add some texture to match the large one. Each daisy has a Gold Faceted Gem in the centre. These give such a fab look.
The daisy is matted with the gorgeous, large circle medallion die from the Eastern Medallions set, cut out with the largest scallop circle die from the Layering Circles die set, and a pear pizzazz stitched circle. I love the easy yet intricate look this gives.
I layered all the circle elements onto banners & crumb cake piece stamped with the Hardwood background stamp in crumb cake ink.
I made a slightly different version of the card too. The flower was stamped in daffodil delight for a bolder stamp image and I used the stamped flower centre rather than the gems. I also cut out the Eastern Medallions shape, rather than using the scallop circle die, & omitted the wild wasabi layer. Simpler, yes but I like it too.
I kept it very simple on the inside of both cards.
Here are the two versions together so you can compare & pin for later inspiration. Which one do you like more?
I'll be back with some more daisies, so pop back tomorrow. Until then, thanks for stopping by & do check out the Daisy Delight bundle below.
Inky wishes,
Di
