Simple springtime card trio

Today I have three easy clean, fresh, and easy cards to share with you, all made with the sketch look flower dies in the new Springtime Impressions thinlit dies set.

Get Glossy

This happy card makes be think of a fresh springy day, even though we're in the middle of Winter here in Sydney.

I started by die cutting the flower in glossy white card, then coloured it with ink and sponge daubers, in a happy, bright combination of new colours - poppy parade, grapefruit grove, pineapple punch and granny apple green. Sponging is so quick and easy but gives the glossy card a lovely unique look. You can go bold or soft with your colour to create different looks. It's hard to see the gloss in pics but it's really obvious in real life.

I adhered the coloured flower piece to regular whisper white card & grapefruit grove card on an angle.  A couple of individual flowers adds detail to a Stitched Shapes oval shape stamped with sentiment from Southern Serenade - another great sentiments set. These elements add detail without distracting from the main floral image.

I kept the inside simple with more images from Southern Serenade, and repeated the grapefruit strip from the front.

Ombre & vellum

The same floral die cut looks beautiful in this easy and almost one layer card, using minimal supplies.

There are just 5 quick and easy steps to make your own version:

1. Cut the flower die shape from a simple thick white card base
2. Colour flower die shape using sponge brayer & ink pads.
I used new in-colours grapefruit grove and pineapple punch.
3. Adhere piece of vellum on inside front.
4. Adhere die cut into hole in front. This creates a lovely translucent look behind the flower.
5. Add a sentiment. This one's from Varied Vases. I've stamped it on a pretty new stitched shape from the Stitched Labels set, but you could simply stamp your sentiment on the base.

Inside I've added another sentiment from Varied Vases & a flower stamp from the Petal Palette set. If you have the coordinating Petals & More die set, you could use the long label die shape in that set for your front sentiment.

Simply Amazing

My final card for today is even easier & gives such a pop of bold, luscious pink, thanks to our new colour, lovely lipstick. You could make a bunch of these in lots of colours ready to post, or to give as a set to a friend.

Like the second card I've cut the flower from the front, but this time I've left it white & popped a panel of lovely lipstick card behind it. Some silver & iridescent sequins add more touches of shine.

For the popped sentiment I cut 2 shapes - one in lipstick & one in silver glimmer. Both words are from my favourite word dies, Celebrate You.

Did you know? We have new style glimmer paper. It has a thinner backing for easier die cutting & the glitter stays on the card, not so much on you & your clothes.

Inside I've used the Celebrate die (from Celebrate You too) teamed with sentiment from Varied Vases again. Love the look of the large word teamed with the smaller text.

So that's three ideas to start you off with the Springtime Impressions dies. I'll be back next time with an idea for the butterfly die in the set. Until then, thanks for visiting.
