Way back in May I had my first play with the my fave first pick of our then new annual catalogue - the beautifully fresh & modern Varied Vases stamp & punch bundle. Today I'm sharing the first of two clean & simple cards to give you a peek of what's possible with it.
This one features a fresh & bold two colour combo of new & returning colours - blueberry bushel and coastal cabana (yippeeee!). I made this one for my SU team day make & take.
That little cluster of vases just makes me happy & of course you know I LOVE the handwritten scripty sentiment, as I've been using it LOTS.
Inside I kept it super simple with another sentiment & vase.
Can you believe this card uses only 1 stamp set, 1 ink pad colour and 2 card colours (plus white of course)? That's supply friendly stamping.
Designing & stamping this card was so quick too, thanks to our Stamparatus positioning tool. Can you believe it was all stamped in just 4 steps? Imagine how many you could make and send in a flash. Here's how I did it.
Stamp it with the Stamparatus
I lined the stamps up on the Stamparatus, starting with the clear plates at top & right as shown below, and the same process.
Stamp Images
Place your paper in corner of Stamparatus as shown, then...
1. Place & align 2 clear vase stamps together on top plate.
2. Place scallop & sentiment stamps together on side plate.
3. Turn over top plate & place 2 flower stamps so they'll align with vase images.
Then stamp each layer using your chosen colour ink pad - I used blueberry bushel.
Placing your stamps like this means overlapping images can be stamped perfectly & quickly.
It doesn't matter which order you stamp the layers in or how many cards you want to make - they'll all remain in place until you put take them off!
4. Stamp patterned vase on a strip of paper & punch out with Vases builder punch.
You could place it on the back of the side SAR plate, but I think it's quicker to stamp multiples of an image to be punched on one narrow strip of card.
Finish off
Once you've stamped all layers, colour the water & flower centres with a dark pool party Stampin' Blends marker, and add some clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.
The remainder of the card then comes together very easily. Emboss a piece of blueberry bushel card with the Simple Stripes embossing folder & adhere - de-bossed side up - to thick white base.
Then, adhere a piece of coastal cabana card, and pop the stamped panel up with dimensionals. A few sequins adds some extra sparkle.
Top Tip & my Stamparatus Special
I always keep a Silicone Craft sheet with my Stamparatus to:
- help me place & align my stamp images - regular ink wipes straight off with a cloth & water.
- provide a little extra height and bounce when stamping near the hinge with thinner stamps
- create mirror images of stamp images.
Of course the silicone craft sheet is an essential for so many other stamping tasks too, like providing a heat proof surface when you're heat embossing, using a hot glue gun, as ink palette for mixing colours or embossing paste, & more. So...
Order your Stamparatus from me during August - using my August host code 4WP76CBY when you order - and you'll receive a free Silicone Craft Sheet ($10 value)
