Hello hello! Today starts our last Just Add Ink challenge for this year - boy that was fast. If you're anything like me, you'll need quick and easy projects to get Christmas prep finished, so this week's challenge project had to be super fast. Luckily, the challenge was a perfect one for quick projects.
I made this fun reindeer treat box - an updated version of this reindeer jar project I made a couple of years back, which was based on this card by Carolyn Bennie.
I started with our sweet, pre-made kraft pillow boxes as the base - look at
those polka dots! The box looks good on its own but a decorated one is even more fun. 😊
Mr or Ms Reindeer is mainly made with circle punches and the sprig punch (carrying over - yay!). The copper & red Joyous Noel glimmer paper (retiring - get yours now!) adds another fun touch. The other update I made was to cover the eyes with fine tip glue pen to create a lovely shine. All supplies are listed at the bottom of the post.
To create the long label, I used two small stitched tags from the Stitched Labels die set (joined together under the reindeer) and stitched heart die from the same sets, adding a stamped sentiment (from the retiring Beautiful Baubles stamp set & bundle)
I filled the box with yummy mini mint patties, which I picked up in Hawaii - I like that they look like red reindeer noses here - but you use the box for a gift card, jewellery or other small gifts.
So that's my quick and easy gift box. I hope it gives you some ideas to try. If your Christmas projects are all done for this year, save my post on Pinterest for next year. Now head over to the Just Add Ink blog to see more gift box projects you're sure to love too.
Thanks very much for visiting today and always. Wishing you the happiest of Christmas celebrations next week.
Happy stamping & inky wishes
