Farewell Needle & Thread - Now on Sale

Just three days until June 3rd when both the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue & 2019 Occasions Catalogue end - already I now!

Today I'm sharing some of what I love about the retiring Needle & Thread stamp set & Needlepoint Elements die set. Just in time too as both the stamps & dies are 15% off here in Australia from today until they disappear forever on June 3rd.

I've used these stamps & dies lots, both together & with other sets. The sentiments are so useful for so many occasions & the dies add a detailed touch to lots of projects, especially the pierced floral one. They play so nicely with others so you'll spot a more Occasions Catalogue favourites in there too.

Get Well Card

First up is this card featuring the stamps, dies & coordinating Needlepoint Nook paper pack.

You'll spot lots of stitched rectangle layers in paper, vellum & card. I find myself using these all the time as they give such easy & lovely detail. Do you have them yet?

Tip - Soften a bold paper by adding a layer of vellum over the top.

The get well sentiment is from the Needle & Thread set too, as are the pretty embroidered effect flower stamps. To get a realistic effect, ink up very lightly & push ink into your pad using a clear block before inking your stamp.

Z-fold friend card

This card is simple but packed with details & texture. I love how well all the pierced elements play well together.

I've used two dies from the Needlepoint Elements die set: the pierced floral pattern (my favourite die of the year) & the pierced label outline die that coordinates with the Pretty Label punch, then embossed the front panel of the card with the Quilt Top embossing folder - sadly also retiring.

Here's how the card looks fully flat.

 Any Occasion Card

Here's another card to show how well this suite plays well with others.

I've used some Needle & Thread stamps for the sentiment (it works on just about any card) plus the stitched detail on the card base. Then I used the pierced floral die on a piece of blushing bride card, and layered some more Needlepoint Nook paper, then teamed it with some tiny flowers & the gorgeous heart from the Be Mine heart themed die set. Don't they look made for each other?

Tip: The 3 small flowers are all stamped & cut together - clever!

Did you know? The Be Mine die set is carrying over with the coordinating Meant to Be stamp set, but you'll only get a 10% bundle discount on them both until June 3rd.

So there you have it. Three cards using Needle & Thread plus the Needlepoint Elements dies. Did you like them? Let me know if you have a favourite or if you have any questions about the cards.
See all the projects I've made with them here. Whatever you do, get them now before they're gone.

Until my next project share, happy stamping & inky wishes,
Di
