JAI 507 sketch challenge - star rainbow birthday

This week's new Just Add Ink challenge is live and Jackie has given us this fun, angled sketch to work with. I've been playing around with rainbows and my Stitched Stars so I went with that theme and this is what I came up with.

The basic card structure is really simple - some patterned paper from the Birthday Bonanza paper pack on top of a thick white base, white angled panel embossed (of course) with the Subtle 3D embossing folder to fit the sketch with just a touch of black as a border.

The Stitched Stars really are the stars (lol) of the card. I loved how they looked offset like a rainbow.

The swirly star piece added more detail to the white panel, as I thought needed a little something more. Thinking it through now, I think doing them in white would have looked good too. Maybe I need to make another one.

Anyway, a simple sentiment from the sadly retiring Label Me Bold stamp set. It's full of useful sentiments so get yours now before it's gone.

Inside is again super simple. I cut out a larger star then cut the centre out of it, and popped another star behind it. Done!

So that's my take on the challenge. Did you like it? Try your own version, see all our Design Team projects on the Just Add Ink blog, and play along with the challenge too.

Happy stamping & inky wishes,
Di
