JAI 523 Just add A - Appreciation

thank you card for moving home occasion, made with Stampin Up Coming Home stamp set and bundle, Trimming the Town paper and Stampin Blends markers. Card by Di Barnes, Independent Demonstrator in Sydney Australia - colourmehappy - sydneystamper - 2020 mini catalogue Stampin' Up!

It's time for a Just Add Ink letter challenge and we're adding something beginning with A.

I initially drew a blank. Usually I look for colours or stamp sets as my initial inspiration but that didn't work this time. Did you know there are no Stampin' Up! colours starting with the letter A? Nope! Next, stamp set names? - no A's. I did think of animals and have a card to share later, but top of the to do list was a thank you card... & another word for thank you - appreciation! Yay! This is what I made using the new Coming Home stamp set & die bundle.

Some of you may be thinking, 'that's an odd theme for an appreciation card, Di' so here's some background. The card is for the real estate agent who helped us prepare and sell our home of 30 plus years. His support was incredible and invaluable so of course I wanted to make him a card to say how much we appreciated him. I'm only giving it to him today but I'm fairly sure he doesn't follow my blog.  😄 As for our move, we're still living at our current home while we renovate our new one - which is partly why my project sharing has been a bit erratic lately. Thanks for understanding.

But back to the card! The Coming Home bundle was perfect as it's full of fun house images. I coloured the images with Stampin' Blends markers starting with a red house (his business logo is red and white) & built the rest of the card around it. The sentiment is from Butterfly Gala, which has lots of other useful sentiments too.

The paper prints are from the coordinating Trimming the Town paper pack. This pack has a general Christmas theme but includes quite a few fun everyday ones too, like I've used on the front and inside teamed with another cute house.

So that's my Just Add A challenge project. I hope it has given you some ideas.

Thanks for visiting today. For more A's, head to the Just Add Ink blog to see all our Design Team projects. I'll also have another A project (hint - with an animal) to share over the weekend as I have time.

To make your own cute houses, check out all the supplies I used here in my Stampin' Up! store.

Happy stamping & inky wishes,
Di
