Hello & welcome! Today I have a soft and pretty sympathy card to share with you. This is my Design Team card for Just Add Ink - Just Add 'N' challenge. My 'N' is new as this is my first play with all the stamps used.
This card is for a friend & fellow cardmaker who sadly lost her husband last week. She loves florals so the hydrangea images from Hydrangea Haven stamp set (and bundle) seemed a good choice and gave me another opportunity for some Stampin Blends colouring. So here's the finished card.
My inspiration for the layout was a sketch I'd just created for a challenge on our Direct to Stampin' Up! Sth Pacific fb group. The sketch was based on a very pretty sample from page 42 of the new Mini Catalogue.
I coloured the blooms with Stampin Blends alcohol markers in colours Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Mint Macaron & Just Jade. This worked beautifully with the Mint Macaron check paper print from the Subtles collection pack. It's hard to see in the pic but the central white panel has been embossed with the new Timber 3d embossing folder - a new must from the Mini.
The sentiment is from Delicate Dahlias, another beautiful floral & sentiment stamp set that's a FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set choice with a $180 purchase until end September (while supplies last). I thought of using the dahlia stamp but it was a tad too large for the layout. Another time! Here's a peek at the set. See more about Sale-a-bration and Delicate Dahlias in my store:
Inside is a simple nod to the front, with some more paper and a partial flower.
Hope you enjoyed my project and it's inspired you to create your own 'N' project for the challenge. See all our team projects and entries here on the Just Add Ink blog.

Happy stamping & inky wishes

What a great idea for the N challenge. So sorry for your friend but I'm sure that the card will be appreciated. Thanks for the inspiration.
