Hello & welcome. Today's share is my Design Team project for this week's Just Add Ink's inspiration challenge.
I took my inspiration from the pretty wreath and its shades of mainly green and white and chose to use create my own wreath. I used the pretty fern image in the Positive Thoughts stamp set and added a whimsical touch with butterflies instead of flowers. Here's how it turned out.
I started by repeatedly stamping the fern using Soft Succulent ink to create a wreath shape, stamping off images in between to create colour variation. To keep the centre of the wreath white, I cut a circle of white (Layering Circles dies) then glued it onto the stamped panel.
I stamped a pile of butterflies (also from Positive Thoughts) in mint macaron and soft sea foam ink using my Stamparatus. Using the Stamparatus enabled me to stamp the same image multiple times to get a range of shades with the same ink pads. I also coloured a few images with a Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends marker. The pretty iridescent rhinestones add lovely colour changing shine.
The sentiment is from the fun Sentimental Swirls stamp set. It has lots of great everyday sentiments like this one.
Inside I've included a couple more ferns and butterflies, leaving space for a personal message.
So that's my take on the Just Add Ink challenge. I hope you like it or that it's given you more ideas.
Thanks again for visiting today. Until next time, happy stamping
Di

This is SO gorgeous! I would never have thought to use this stamp set (one of my favorites) to create such a beautiful wreath. The butterflies are just perfect for that added softness! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful, my friend! I love how you've used the two greens, and butterflies to decorate the partial wreath. The addition of some subtle foliage die-cuts, and iridescent rhinestones, finishes off your card perfectly. Lovely work. x
