Hello and welcome. Today I'm sharing two clean and simple Christmas cards featuring heat embossing and ink blending, using the Snow Crystal and Christmas to Remember stamp sets.
A fun thing about these two cards is that they're both made with only one complete snowflake image. This is a definite time saver when you're making lots of Christmas cards.
To create a different look for each card, I blended inks onto the pieces using Blending Brushes, cut them down a bit, and used some simple layering. Here's how they turned out.
Card 1
For this version I started with a Tahitian Tide card base. I applied Tahitian Tide and Starry Sky ink to created the blended ink section around the image, leaving the right side white.
So that's my two for one stamping idea. I hope you like the cards. Do you have a favourite of the two?
I'd love you to try making your own version. You'll find links to the full supply lists for both cards below.
To do this, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Snow Crystal snowflake at an angle in the middle of a card piece, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
Then I cut the piece in two, roughly halving the image to use on two cards. I could have made them the same but I wanted to play around.

Card 1
The snowflake panel is blended with Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Starry Sky inks, then embossed with the snowflake folder in the Wintry set (also used on this card). I love the look of the two snowflakes together.
Simple layering onto a Coastal Cabana base, and a sentiment from the Christmas to Remember set on the front and inside, together with stamped images from the Joyful Flurry stamp set complete the look.
Card 2
For this version I started with a Tahitian Tide card base. I applied Tahitian Tide and Starry Sky ink to created the blended ink section around the image, leaving the right side white.
Simple sequins and a Starry Sky banner add some detail and shine to the clearn design.
Inside I've used the same sentiment from Christmas to Remember and snowflakes from Joyful Flurry.

Happy stamping and inky wishes
