Fancy fold birthday card using Stampin Up Hues of Happiness paper, Sending Smiles stamps and die bundle, Stylish Shapes dies and Artistic dies., Card by Di Barnes - Independent Demonstrator in Sydney Australia - fancy fold cards - cardmaking - stamps ink paper - stamping - colourmehappy

Hello and welcome back. I know it's been a while (long story) but I'm happy to be sharing with you again and blog hopping with my Just Add Ink design teamies for our Just Add a Favourite challenge.
You many have come from Nikki Spencer's Sandbox or another way. Either way, welcome and I hope you enjoy seeing some of my favourites and hopping along with us.

My card is full of favourites; It's for one of my favourite people, She loves her garden and purple is her favourite colour. I chose some of her and my faves to make her card - Hues of Happiness floral paper, words from the Sending Smiles bundle, stitched shapes from Stylish Shapes die set. It's a fun, fancy fold too. What are the chances? :)

I'm not sure what the fold is called but it's become a definite favourite since I spotted this pretty version on the fab Linda Dalke's Insta. She was inspired by a card from Cindy Westerink using the Cottage Rose bundle. Thanks very much to Linda and Cindy for the inspiration.
If anyone knows what it's called I'd love you to leave a comment so I can edit the post.
Here's how it looks held flat.

Taking my colour cues Hues of Happiness paper, I used Fresh Freesia (base), Gorgeous Grape ('Sending', banner and circle), and Highland Heather for the birthday wishes banner.

I used three paper prints from the Hues of Happiness paper - the multi-floral, individual flower sheet and ombre papers. I also cut the detailed floral die from the Artistic set in vellum.
Here's how it looks flat from the front and back.

Here's a final pic of the card standing up. See how the base folds. So fun!
