Hello and welcome. This week's Just Add Ink challenge is to add shading or shadows. I used stencils from Layers of Beauty stamps, dies and stencils to create a pretty, floral card with lots of stencilled shading. Here's how it turned out.
This card was a bit of an experiment, to see what would happen if I stamped on a 'colour' rather than on white and to try cutting up the large floral to create a different look.
I stamped the image in Smoky Slate ink (2 layers I think to make it darker) onto Bubble Bath cardstock, then coloured the image, using the layering stencils and Petunia Pop ink for the flowers and Smoky Slate for the leave . Layering the Petunia Pop created the most beautiful colour. My photos don't do the colours justice. Silly Winter days.
The stamped sentiment is from Unbounded Love and it's stamped onto a Stylish Shapes circle die.

So that's my take on the challenge. Head over to the Just Add Ink blog to see all our team projects.
If you'd like to try this yourself, head to my Stampin' Up store for what you need.
Until next time, happy stamping.
