Ballet Birthday Best

This is a little card I put together today with the 'Birthday Best' set. I chose this set in my Demonstrator starter kit, as it's such a flexible set & used it lots, but it hasn't been getting much attention lately. So, when I saw it was one of the 20th birthday sets at 20% off this month, I thought it was about time we had a play together again. Here's how to make your own version:
  1. Stamp the cute little cupcake on whisper white card with black stayz on ink & colour it with ballet blue & so saffron ink, taken from the lid with an aquapainter. Cover the icing & flame with Crystal Effects® to make it glossy. Leave aside to dry, then cut out.
  2. Score & fold ballet blue base. Punch a spiral edge on one edge of a barely banana piece using the spiral punch. Attach to base.
  3. Stamp bashful blue piece with 'polka dot' background in ballet blue ink & sponge around the edges.
  4. Stamp birthday greeting in ballet blue ink on ballet blue card, punch out with the round tab punch & attach to bashful blue piece.
  5. Make a plate with the small & large oval punches: Punch a small oval, align the large oval punch over the hole & punch again. Then, glue it to another large oval. Glue 2 more small ovals on the back to raise it more. Attach to bashful blue piece.
  6. Attach cupcake with dimensionals.
Hope you like this little project. Happy stamping!
Di
