Hello Friday! It's new challenge day at Just Add Ink and this week we're working with this tropical colour combination suggested by meeeeee.
This combination reminds me that colour inspiration is everywhere. I'd seen 3 people sitting together at church wearing this combination & made a note. I was so taken by how fresh it looked and how like our SU colours they were so I suggested it to the team, & here we are.
Also, I absolutely love our new granny apple green colour (& not just for the brilliant name). It's such a lovely bright but not too bright green, and it coordinates so well with so many other colours in our new colour collection.
So what did I make with this luscious combination?...
... I made this congrats card for my big girl who aced her driving test last week. I still can't quite believe she's actually old enough to be driving (17 is the min age in Aus), but she's worked very hard to get here and I'm very proud of the effort & determination she's shown to exceed the 120 hours experience needed to go for her test.
I've used a combination of new, current & retired goodies for the card. #equalopportunitystamper
- Congrats word (Sunshine Wishes dies) cut from a piece of card blended with the challenge colours using our sponge brayers.
- Multi-colour text background using three of the great sentiments in the sadly retired Beautiful Ride stamp set.
- Car, also from Beautiful Ride, stamped and cut from another brayered piece.
- The little 'P's are from the brand new Pick a Pennant stamp set, which includes a fun alphabet.
- Bling! Iridescent sequins and clear Wink of Stella on the congrats. I'm so glad these carried over.
Inside I've made a 'P' plate using the Letters for You alphabet set cut with a Stitched Shapes die square, and added another of the brayered congrats.
So that's it from me. I hope you'll play along with us and try this colour combination. Check out the Just Add Ink blog to see all the fabulous ideas the team have shared using it.
Thanks for visiting today. See & purchase the supplies to make it from the list below & pin my card for later inspiration before you go. Back soon with some more inspiration.
Happy stamping & inky wishes,
Di

ReplyDeleteSuch a cool design for a new driver, Di! Your rainbow of sentiments is so dramatic and your ombré VW is a brilliant way to combine the colours too. xx
