Botanical Butterfly cards - last week to earn your paper free

Family commitments have made it a bit difficult to share lately but I'm trying to write posts of my backlogged Sale-a-bration projects as I have time this week, before Sale-a-bration ends on 31 March.

Today I'm sharing four easy cards I made back in January using mainly the Sale-a-bration Botanical Butterfly designer paper pack - get it free with a $90 purchase until 31 March if supplies last that long.

I've also used Rectangle stitched framelit dies on all cards, Stampin Blends alcohol markers, and  a few different stamp sets-bundles for the sentiments.

1. First up, an easy card using two black & white prints from the pack - a floral-butterfly outline and a check.

For this one, I brayered the floral paper piece using our sponge brayer and coastal cabana ink pad to create a graduated-ombre colour, then added some extra colour to the actual butterflies & a lot of clear Wink of Stella for good measure - very sparkly in real life.
It's teamed with a black and white check print. Thank You sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamps - Duet Butterfly punch bundle.*

2.

This one uses the same papers, with a similar layout & different sentiment, also from Butterfly Gala. I coloured the butterfly with poppy parade, flirty flamingo, petal pink and daffodil delight Stampin' Blends, flicking lines of Blends colour out from the butterfly centre to create the look.

Then I lightly coloured the rest of the paper with a light pool party Blends marker, adding extra colour around the butterfly outline to create some shadow to help it pop.

3.

This is a very easy card, made with another piece of the black & white floral-butterfly print paper.
I coloured the background with a light night of navy Stampin' Blends marker, then flicked daffodil delight Blends for the butterfly centres. I added lots of clear Wink of Stella to the butterflies too.

I matted the print on some blueberry bushel card, then offset the layers on a thick white base rather than centring as usual. I like the look it gave.

Birthday sentiment is from the Piece of Cake-Cake Builder bundle, cut & added some little Artisan pearls to finish. I saw this fab outline colouring idea here on my lovely demo friend, Paula Dobson's blog.

Inside the card I added some simple coloured butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamps - Duet Butterfly punch bundle & a favourite sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.

4.

Finally, a window card with the large butterfly floral print from the pack. I added a vellum layer over the top of the paper print to create a softer look. The window is cut with the Rectangle Stitched dies. I love that it leaves a stitched outline on the inside and out of the die cuts.

Inside, I've added a balmy blue layer like the paper background, & punched some butterflies from one of the other butterfly print papers in the pack. These can be punched out using the coordinating duet butterfly punch - available in the bundle at a discount or separately.*

I've only used some of the papers in the Botanical Butterfly paper pack for these projects but you'll have lots of fun with the others too. Here's a snapshot of each of them. You can see full page images here in my online store too.

There's so much you can do with the black & white prints & the pre-coloured pieces make it so easy to create a pretty & fun card so quickly.

The Botanical Butterfly paper pack can only be earned FREE during Sale-a-bration, until 31 March, unless it sells out before/ So, place your $90 order now & choose Botanical Butterfly paper as your freebie. See all Sale-a-bration freebie options here

* Butterfly Gala - Butterfly punch bundle availability update

The Butterfly Gala bundle & Butterfly Duet punch has been so enormously popular that SU's punch supplier has not been able to keep up with demand. As a result, the bundle & punch are not currently available to order.
The good news is that new punch stock is expected mid April at this stage. If you'd like to be notified when it's back in stock in Australia, drop me an e-mail & I'll keep you updated.

Important - If you want the coordinating Botanical Butterfly paper I've used today, you MUST get it now during Sale-a-bration, as it will not be available when the bundle is back in stock.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my cards today. Of you've any questions about them, just leave a comment. Keep an eye out for more projects too.

Until next time, happy stamping & inky wishes,
Di
