This week our new Just Add Ink challenge is to...
So, what J's could I think of? Jeans (love to wear but no), jedi (cool but no), jewels, jolly, jars, jelly? Then I remembered a fancy fold from way back - the joy fold fold. I don't know why it's called a joy fold but it's definitely a fun card. Here's what I made using the Hello Cupcake free stamp set...
When closed it looks like a regular card.
Love the boldness of the images & paper prints - and of course the rectangle stitched die frame. Can't stop using them.
Open, you can see the card has flaps on each side that layer to form a fold. The cupcake panel opens to the right the the left panel opens to reveal the inside. Easy!
This is how it looks with only the left flap open.
You'll get the Hello Cupcake Sale-a-bration stamp set I've used for free with a $90 purchase until the end of March, and purchase the coordinating Call Me Cupcake dies (available this month too while supplies last). The papers are all coordinating prints from the How Sweet it Is pack in the Occasions Catalogue. Matchy matchy happiness!
Hello Cupcake is such a (dare I say) sweet set with a doodle style images & handwritten look fonts.
I stamped the cupcake base in coastal cabana ink, cake middle in so saffron, & top in berry burst (stamped off first). Then coloured with light pool party & light flirty flamingo Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.
This die set includes fun cake stand dies - I like how they lined up on the base so they look like the stand is standing. I layered quite a few stand bases so it was nicely sturdy when the card is open.
So that's my take on our Just Add J challenge. Check out all the fun J cards the team have created for you this week on the Just Add Ink blog.
Thanks for stopping by here today. If you liked the colours or cake theme, check out this cake project which coincidentally has similar colours too.
Whatever you do, make sure you get your Sale-a-bration goodies before they run out (only 2 weeks to go) and your Occasions Catalogue favourites too, as stocks of many bundles are running very low & have sold out in some markets already. See & shop Occasions Catalogue here in this post.
Happy stamping & inky wishes,
Di
