I feel like a bit of a sloth at the moment since I'm pretty much at
home all the time with our current lockdown. Maybe this helped prompt
the idea for my Just Add Ink Just Choose Two challenge card. Who knows *smile*.
I thought a combo of sky, tree or trees would be a fun Choose Two challenge when I suggested it, but I had trouble finding images to suit my initial ideas this week. Always the way. Maybe I need some new supplies. *wink*
Anyway I wanted to send an encouragement card and thought the sad little sloth in a tree with the sky in the background would work for the challenge too, so here's how my card turned out.I thought a combo of sky, tree or trees would be a fun Choose Two challenge when I suggested it, but I had trouble finding images to suit my initial ideas this week. Card Breakdown
- Our little sloth on a branch is stamped in Memento black ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.
- Colours: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Bronze, Ivory, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Succulent, Pool Party, & of course the Colour Lifter. Thanks to the wonderful Andrea Walford for the great sloth colour suggestion - see this post & cute Back on your Feet cards.
- The sloth image is cut with one of the largest Tailor Made Tags dies. I shortened the tag length by running it through the die cutting machine a second time.
- Hello sentiment - this is from my current favourite set - Biggest Wish - and is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. I cut this with a smaller Tailor Made Tags die. #matchymatchy
- Pierced background - the full card front sized Stitched Greenery die is cut with Soft Sea Foam cardstock. This gives such an easy & fabulous effect. A must have die in my book.
- Coloured leaves - The die cut leaves from the Pierced Blooms die set work beautifully with the Stitched Greenery background. I coloured with a layer of Light Granny Apple Green then Light & Dark Soft Succulent on top.
- Striped paper - From the Pansy Petals pack - definitely not just florals (and still 15% off until 31 July).
- Ribbon - Also coloured with Light Soft Succulent Stampin Blend marker
So that's it for my choose two challenge card. Hope you like it. See all our Team projects on the Just Add Ink blog for more ideas.

This is just adorable, Di! I love all the greens, and your use of the Tailored Tags Dies. I agree that the Stitched Greenery Die is a "must have"; such beautiful detail. Beautiful colouring on the sloths, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Christine. You’re very kind. It was a fun card to make. I see lots more of the tags & greenery die in my future cards.
DeleteHugs, Di 😊
Aww, how cute! I'm sure that the recipient will love it, especially knowing they are in your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tina. I hope so too.
