Hello & welcome! Today I'm sharing my team project for this week's Just Add Ink inspiration challenge, which is a gorgeous Christmas scene - perfect for Christmas in July fun.

Some of the upcoming 2021 Christmas catalogue goodies (coming 2 August) would have been perfect and made the challenge very easy, but I don't have them yet. The beautiful red baubles did remind me that I haven't used the well named Sweet Strawberry stamp and punch bundle yet so I decided to try to reflect the image with it to create a non-Christmas project. This is what I made.

I've tried to lots of elements of the challenge image on my cards? Some are more obvious than others. How many can you see? Here's my list so you can check. ;)

- Overall colours of image - red, silver, green, sahara sand & white
- Strawberries and leaves - baubles and tinsel
- Silver rhinestones - silver on baubles
- Wink of Stella on strawberries - shiny baubles
- Vertical score lines - stair balustrade

The Sweet Strawberry stamp set includes both outline and fill images for the strawberries, leaves and flowers plus sentiments for lots of different occasions.

I stamped all the images with Basic Gray ink, then coloured the strawberries/leaves with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers (colours listed below). The strawberries are also covered with Wink of Stella.

Strawberries - dark & light Real Red, Light Cherry Cobbler
Leaves - dark & light Shaded Spruce, Light Just Jade

The scalloped shapes are from the Stitched So Sweetly die set, which has 6 nested stitched scallop dies plus 4 additional stitched shapes that coordinate nicely too.

I used my Simply Scored scoring board to create the scored background, by scoring a half inch apart. So quick and easy.

Once I coloured all the strawberry & stalk images, I burnished them on the back to create some shape, then layered them up on Dimensionals & glue dots down the card to recreate the line of baubles in the challenge image. Maybe you can see the layering in this pic.

So that's my take on the sketch. See all our Design Team projects on the Just Add Ink blog.

I hope you like my card and that it gives you some ideas to try. Let me know if you do or if you have any questions.

Happy stamping & inky wishes
