A simple strip of the Whimsy & Wonder striped paper reflects the colours in the challenge image and the pink is repeated in the star cookies.
I mixed Polished Pink, Crumb Cake and white to create the different cookie combinations, and boy they were making me seriously crave some real iced sugar cookies.
The sentiment is also from the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set & bundle. I created the banner end using the Tailored Tag punch. The Banner Triple punch would be fabulous for this too.
I think Christmas cards all need to have some sparkle so I've included a pretty strip of Glittered Organdy ribbon down the edge of the paper, and included a few Opal Rounds which are also iridescent and so pretty. The sparkle is a hard to see in the pics but you can see it a bit better in this one. Click on the pics for a bigger view.
Inside is another opportunity for paper & a cookie... and the wrapped ribbon which is secured under a cookie on the front.
I just love the sentiment inside, which is one from the Christmas to Remember stamp set. The other sentiments in the set are useful and lovely too so definitely take a look at it.
So that's my take on the inspiration challenge. What do you think? To me the colours & cookies make it a very happy card and goodness knows we need all the happy we can get right now.
Head over to the Just Add Ink blog to see all our Design Team projects and the different way we approached the challenge. You'll see some lovely new faces on the team too this week and next which is fabulous for us and you.
