Hello Friday! It's been a long week but I'm happy to be sharing my Just Add Ink Design Team project for this week's colour challenge. The colours - Blushing Bride, Evening Evergreen and gold - gave me vintage vibes, so I chose delicate botanical themed images from the Quiet Meadow stamp set & bundle to create my card. Here's how it turned out.
I gold heat embossed then fussy cut two each of the flower stem & individual flower from Quiet Meadow (see stamp set images below). A gold element from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack adds a touch more. Gold embossing is tricky to photograph to capture the shine -
especially on a dull, rainy day, so imagine a lot more pretty shine
& less yellow.
I watercoloured one of each image using Water Painters and Blushing Bride & Evening Evergreen ink. I left the other images un-coloured.
The Blushing Bride elements are patterned paper from the Subtles pack is embossed using the retired Subtle 3d embossing folder (some folders should just not be retired I tell ya), plus single flowers and vintage text stamping on the white card.
Finally, my Evening Evergreen elements are the stamping on the tag (Tailor Made Tags - with the ink stamped off first before stamping the tag), and the crinkle seam binding, which I coloured with a Light Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends marker.
So, what do you think? Did I make the challenge colours work? I hope my card gives you some ideas to try. Head over to the Just Add Ink blog for more ideas by our team.
