I chose to show some love to the Artistically Inked stamp set and coordinating Artistic dies to make a pretty, pastel floral card in Fresh Freesia, Bubble Bath and white. Here's how it turned out.
The challenge sketch made me think of this simple card base design where a cut is made on the right and left of the front, then the cut section is adhered to the inside of the card. This design name
currently escapes me so please leave me a comment if you know what it's
called.
I started by creating a soft, stamped background using a few of the stamps in the Artistically Inked stamp set. Then I added texture to the panel using the floral folder in the Basics 3d embossing folder. I adhered the whole panel to my Fresh Freesia card base and then cut the slits in the front.I love how much this folder adds to the tactile feel and look of the card.
The beautiful Artistic floral die cut is a layer of Fresh Freesia and white card with some hand cut vellum adhered behind. The vellum softens but doesn't obscure the stamped panel.
I chose a birthday sentiment from Go To Greetings, mounted on layers of stitched banners from my favourite Stylish Shapes dies. Some pretty Iridescent Rhinestones and Loose Silver Sequins add the finishing touch. Here's how the card looks flat.
When open you can see how the side split works. I just cut 2.5cm / 1 inch from each side. A simple white panel in the centre and leafy die also from the Artistic dies finishes it off.
So that's my sketch challenge card. What do you think? I really like how the side panels make the card look 'normal' on the front but take the theme inside too and hope you'll try it yourself.

Thanks for visiting today and remember to tell me what this cut card front design is called.
