Hello and welcome to my challenge project share for this week's Just Add Ink challenge. It's an image challenge with a fun snowy winter scene. I was of course drawn to the colours - any opportunity to use Coastal Cabana - and set about creating a card with a bright birthday vibe with a colour blocked background, using my new Circle Sayings stamp set and circle punch bundle. Here's how it turned out.
The simple colour blocked background is made with different colours and sized stitched, rounded rectangle shapes from the Nested Essentials die set. I chose Coastal Cabana, Tahitian Tide, Bubble Bath cardstock and a dotty print (a nod to the snow in the challenge image) from the Zoo Crew paper pack.
You could recreate this with many colours and shapes. I do like the stitched-pierced detail on these.

The cupcake and sentiment are separate images from Circle Sayings, and are stamped in Memento Black ink onto Basic White. I coloured the cupcake with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers (Pool Party, Tahitian Tide, Bubble Bath and light Petal Pink) and fussy cut the cupcake. There are lots of other images to choose from in Circle Sayings. Check out the pic further down this post
I punched out the stamped layer with the 2-3/8 inch circle punch in the bundle, then layered it onto one of the stitched Stylish Shapes circles. I love when you find good layering options! PS. The lovely stitched effect is hard to see in the pic but it definitely adds a nice detail.
Tip: To give the cupcake a curved effect I added two layers of Dimensionals up the centre of the image and glue dots on the left and right edges. This is something I picked up at a recent SU event in Ballarat. Thanks, Simone!
Inside is another cupcake and die cut sentiment from the Wanted to Say die set. This has a lovely two layer effect. I'd initially thought I'd use it on the front but didn't in the end. So waste not want not. It's Melon Mambo - a lovely bright pink - but does not look like it in the pic. You could easily use this as a card front for a nice clean and simple look.

I love your take on this challenge, Di. The colour-blocked background looks awesome, created with the Nested Essentials Dies. Great use of colour, the dimensional cupcake looks fab, and sequins were the perfect shiny choice!
