Life is good

This is a card I made on Friday for my wonderful hubby, Damien. The greeting just says it all - life with him is very, very, good indeed! It's not a particularly manly looking card, but it just felt right....& that's what I always hope for when I make & give a card.

I've been making an effort to use some new stamp sets that haven't had a chance to show me their stuff, rather than just reaching for my favourites, so this includes 2 stamps I haven't used before.

The stem stamp from 'Oh So Lovely' reminded me of Sam's beautiful swap from last year's Stampin' Up!® Regional training day, so I stamped it on a scrap of ballet blue card with ballet blue & whisper white ink to create a similar look. I mounted it with dimensionals on some whisper white & barely banana card (distressed by running my scissor edge around them) & a piece of celery, stamped with the 'En Francais' background stamp (also out for it's first inking). Then, I wrapped some white grosgrain ribbon around it & mounted it on a whisper white base, sized to fit the matted pieces. I thought the 'Life is good' rub-on from the 'Urban West' pack, was perfect to finish it off.

This will probably be my last post for this week, as I have a few things on & 10 lovely ladies coming on Saturday for my next Christmas stamp-a-stack (hi girls!), but I'll be back soonish. In the meantime, happy stamping.

Di J
