One of a kind pocket card

Hi & happy Monday to you! As promised, this is the second project from Saturday's Hello Spring class.I wanted to make a different shaped card, so I made this pocket card, which I based on this one I saw aaaages ago, by Michele Force. For this card, I chose to use the 'One of a Kind' & 'Boho Backgrounds' sets, as they just work so well together. For the colours, I chose river rock, blue bayou & soft sky 'in colours'.
To make the pocket base, I just scored a half A4 sheet, 4cm from one end & 7.1cm from the other. I stamped the flap with the 'Boho' flower background & rounded the corners. Then I stamped the greeting on the bottom in blue bayou. I added 2 not quite navy brads to the inside flap to hold the pocket closed.
Then, I stamped the large 'One of a Kind' motif in blue bayou ink (once on whisper white, once on soft sky), cut them both out & then stuck them together. I stamped the circle flower & punched it out with the 'Boho Blossoms' punch. I added a not quite navy brad to the centre & attached it to the motif with a dimensional. Then I mounted the motif to squares of blue bayou, soft sky & a rectangle of blue bayou with more dimensionals. I tied some river rock double stitched ribbon around the rectangle & attached it to the flap.
For the insert, I stamped some whisper white card with the large motif & sponged the centre slightly in soft sky in with a sponge dauber. Then I matted it on a larger piece of blue bayou. These pocket cards would work really well for gift vouchers (remember you can purchase Stampin' Up!® gift vouchers from me anytime!). You could also include a photo, provided it was slightly smaller than the normal 10 x 15cm. I think a Christmas themed one would also be great & a friend said at the weekend it would be great for an invitation or baby announcement. I really liked how this turned out so I don't think it'll be the last one you see here.
Thanks to Michele for sharing this great idea.
I'll post pics of my first Christmas card Stamp-a-Stack cards at the end of the week, once I run another class on Wednesday, so stay tuned.
Happy stamping!
