Hello & welcome! This week's Just Add Ink challenge is a colour challenge using Gray Granite, Coastal Cabana and Blackberry Bliss. I can honestly say I'd never have thought to combine these colours, but I'm happy to say they played pretty nicely together on this floral card.
So how did this come together? There are 3 main steps:
- Blended ink background - I used Blending Brushes with Blackberry Bliss & Coastal Cabana ink pads to create a graduated background on a floral piece of True Love paper (sadly retiring on 30 June). The Blending Brushes make ink blending very easy to do. Just start light & add layers until you're happy with the look.
- Raised frame - I cut the patterned paper with two stitched rectangle dies to create a frame, then popped the outside piece up on pieces of foam & adhered to a piece of Gray Granite card.
- Sunflower - This was the easiest focal point ever using the Sunflowers dies. The detail is cut in Thick Basic White and backing in Vellum. I stamped one of the new Tailor Made Tags dies with a thank you sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set. A gray granite ribbon finished it off.
I think the colour combination works but you could easily recreate it with your favourite combinaton. Watch out for a much simplified version of this card over the weekend.

What a stunner! The blended background is amazing, and I adore the vellum sunflower.
