Today's Sending Smiles card is really is all about the stamps and die in the bundle playing nicely together.
I've created a randomly stamped, cut strip background with the leaf and some floral stamps paired with the wonderful sentiment dies and stamps, with a fresh, neutral colour scheme.

Both the background stamping and colours were very much based on this beautiful card by Alisa Tilsner. I really liked the stamped background and colours together so I had to try it & give it my own spin.
My colour combination is Night of Navy (of course - everything is fab with navy), Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry (which I think I've only used maybe a few times ever), Smoky Slate and white.
After stamping the background I embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3d embossing folder (facing the 'wrong' side out to make it more subtle, cut the piece into 3 equal strips, and placed them on more navy card.
I included a strip & die cut of Crushed Curry paper print (Butterfly Kisses pack) paper behind my sentiment to help it pop off the white, and a Stampin Blends coloured crinkle seam binding bow.
I made two versions of the card - one with the bow & one without, as I wasn't sure about that addition. You pick which you prefer. I think even though it's a floral card, it's quite neutral.
Onto the inside, I created two versions - one with a large floral, and one with the beautiful leaf and a borrowed sentiment from the Amazing Year stamp set (as I also used on the patterned paper card I shared yesterday). I love the handwriting look scripty sentiments in this set and have used lots so far.
So that's my card/s for today - Will you try to create your own background? I think my class lovelies enjoyed the colours and design so I hop you do too. Thanks for visiting today and thanks again to Alisa for sharing the card that inspired this one.
If you'd like to try your own version see the full shoppable supply list here on my Stampin' Up! website.
I'll be back with another very different Sending Smiles card project.
