Mix it up with Chalk Talk & Backyard Basics

Today's card probably started my ongoing colour love affair with pool party, crisp cantaloupe, calyspo coral (with sometime preferred partner, crumb cake) . I also remember being in a bit of a creative rut in xxx (month hidden to protect the slack blogger :-)), then feeling so much better when this card came together.

It's got a number of different elements & techniques that may not be obvious at first glance.
* the butterfly (Backyard Basics) is coloured with ink pads & a blender pen. I used the same technique with this card.
* the crumb cake & coral hexagon pieces are washi tape, so they give a little extra interest & shine to the card (both from the Epic Day This & That pack).
* all shapes are cut with framelit dies - no hand cutting for me!

Overall, it's a pretty simple card, but I liked how it came together. Hope you do too. Anyway, it's time for me to flutter away for now, so sending inky wishes to you until next time.
