Pop-up phone birthday card

Today's project is a fun pop up card I made for my darling man's birthday from Cara & I. Many of you know he's quite the tech geek, so I thought it would be fun to make a card with a phone theme.
Looks pretty simple from the front. You can see I've used our fab Pop 'n' Cuts die to cut the base - love the shape & the little tabs that hold the card closed. If you're thinking 'I don't remember SU having a phone DSP or stamp, your right. I created my own popular phone image ;-) in MS Word using the shapes function (love!). I then coloured & duplicated it to make my own custom phone DSP, then overstamped it with the Dictionary background stamp.
The fun is really on the inside though...

I coloured & printed two larger phone images, then added my own sentiment (SU loves a pun, so I took my lead from them) for the pacific point coloured phone, then stamped the birthday sentiments from Delightful Dozen for the tangerine tango phone. I used the Dress Form Pop 'n' Cuts insert to support the phones. Here's a closer look

I had lots of fun making this one & it made Damien smile, & that's priceless. I hope you like this idea. I'll be back next time with another pop-n-cuts card - this time a girly version.
until then, thanks for visiting & hope you have a happy day.
Inky wishes, Di

PS: Sadly, Karen Burniston, the fabulous designer of the Pop 'n' Cuts dies is no longer designing for Sizzix who make all our SU dies, so I'm not sure whether we'll still have these dies after the annual catalogue ends in June. So, if you love them, please don't wait too long to order.
