Hello & welcome! It's Choose Two challenge time at Just Add Ink this week - always a fun one.
Even more fun I picked the three challenge elements - Flowers, Trees and Texture - some of my favourite card elements, so it's no surprise that this was an easy one for me.
I chose flowers and texture as my two elements. The hardest part was which flower to choose. I picked a new stamp and die bundle - Prized Peony - which has the most gorgeous peony images.
Like many of my cards I started with a Thick Whisper White card base. I topped this with another piece embossed with the Ornate Floral 3d embossing folder - texture and florals for the challenge all in one!
I stamped two large peony images plus some extra leaves, cut them out with the coordinating dies, cut only the flower head off the second one then coloured with Stampin Blends alcohol markers in So Saffron, Light Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron. All the flowers are popped up
I added a little more Mint Macaron using a text print paper from the Subtles Collection pack and White Crinkled Seam Binding which I coloured with a light Just Jade Stampin Blends marker. I love that you can make it any colour you want. Some sequins from the Whale of a Time Sequins pack add a little more shine.
The sentiment is from the Positive Thoughts stamp set, which is full of lovely nature images & encouraging sentiments like this one.
So all that's left to do is to get it to the beautiful friend whose birthday I'm late celebrating.
I hope you liked my card and will play along with our challenge too. You'll see all our team projects on the Just Add Ink blog now too.Want to make your own version of my card? See all the supplies you'll need below and follow the link to order in Australia from my store.
I have some more peonies to share... hopefully over the weekend all going well.
Until then, happy stamping & inky wishes,
Di
