Hello & welcome to this week's team project share for Just Add Ink. Our new challenge is to to create a project inspired by this fabulous sunset image.
The cool oval lens reminded me of a rainbow shape, so I kept it simple and fun, making a rainbow inspired by the colours in the image. Here's how it turned out.
It's made with a mix of current, retired, and happily Clearance Rack items. You'll find a break down of these at the bottom of this post.
Take a look at some of the details. The colours I've used for my rainbow are Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral - much brighter in real life. I have issues using colours other than the 'real' colours of things, but I did like this combo.

Can you see that the stripes down the side of the rectangle panel are little scraps of the same coloured card which I glued together on another scrap piece then cut in half.
The clouds are a die from the Basic Borders die set (take a look below) and the sentiment is from the Pansy Patch stamp set. There are so many useful ones in the set aside from the obvious pansy stamps.
The stitched frame is made with the retired Rectangle Stitched dies set, and the card front has a layer of card embossed with my eternal favourite, the Subtle folder - both of which are still firmly part of my collection.
Did you spot the pretty little iridescent heart pearls too? They're also retired but the regular iridescent pearls will work beautifully too.
Inside I couldn't resist one more rainbow. Did you notice that I changed the colours around? What do you think. Front or inside colours?
So that's my challenge card. I hope you liked how I used the image, and have thought of someone you can send a rainbow card to. Do check out all of the Teams's challenge projects on the Just Add Ink blog, then share your own project with me.
Thanks for visiting my blog today and I hope you'll come back for more inspiration.
