JAI 708 choose Two challenge - Enduring Beauty split image

Handmade card using Stampin Up Enduring Beauty, Unbounded Love, and ink blending. Card by Diane Barnes - Independent Demonstrator in Sydney Australia - colourmehappy - stampinupcards - cardmaking - stamping - diecutting

Hello and welcome to another team project share for Just Add Ink. This week is a Choose Two challenge, and we need to include blending, embossing, or white. I chose to use the beautiful, large floral image from Enduring Beauty stamps, dies and stencil sets as my feature.
All three challenge elements are included since it's a given that pretty much all of my cards have some white, and even snuck in two types of embossing. Here's how it turned out.

I started by stamping the Enduring Beauty large floral image with Versamark, and clear heat embossed it. Then the magic happens with the stencils, ink (Fresh Freesia, Petunia Pop, Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam) and blending brushes. I cannot express how much fun those stencils are to use, and when you lift that final stencil to see the finished image, it's a real wow.

I've been using my Stamparatus with the stencils as it make it so easy and full proof to line everything up, and add extra colour if you want. If you want to know more about how I did that, leave a comment.

Once the colouring was done, I chopped the image into two pieces, making sure I had a mix of florals and leaves on each side. Liberal Wink of Stella added lots of shimmer too.

The base is Fresh Freesia, with Bubble Bath and white matting embossed with one of the 3d basics embossing folders.

The pretty, little sentiment panel and sentiment image is from the Unbounded Love stamp set and die bundle. I stamped the sentiment in Petunia Pop ink.

Here are all the main elements I used for the card in case you've missed them in the catalogue or store.

So that's my take on the Choose Two challenge. Head to the Just Add Ink blog to see all our team projects. I hope you'll play along with us too.

I have more Enduring Beauty cards to share with you and more stencil projects, so keep an eye out for them.

Until then, thanks for visiting today, and until next time, happy stamping.
Diane

The softness of colour, on the flowers and leaves, is just so beautiful. I am intrigued by the clear-embossed outlines, as I would only have thought to white-emboss on white card. Lovely!

Thanks so much, Christine. Clear emboss is what I usually do on white, as it always seems to give me an easier, cleaner result than white, and I don’t have to be worry about how white it is. Try it and let me know what you think.
