Fragrant Layers floral birthday card

Hello & welcome. I knew I had a card to share with you but I couldn't find the photos... until I realised they were on my phone rather than my camera. Oops! Anyway, it's a birthday card I made for a friend - the same supportive and encouraging friend who requested the motorcycle card. I've been trying to use the pretties in my stash while treating myself to some new goodies, so this card is a mix. The Fragrant Layers dies is new to me (also part of a coordinating bundle). 
Here's how my card turned out.

The Fragrant Layers dies caught my eye as being different and useful. They include a floral layer that can be used to create frames of different widths around it, multiple coordinating layering florals, plus other multiple mini flowers and leaves with scored details. There's also a coordinating stamp set but I've just used the dies. Take a look.

The rectangle floral die was my starting point for the card. I cut it leaving a wide frame around it, The large scored flower layers behind it (orc an be used by itself) as do the leaf shapes. I coloured them all with Stampin' Blends markers.

I attached the coloured flowers and leaves behind the rectangular outline layer, added a mat behind the rectangle layer, then scattered some small flowers. The whole thing was popped on the base.  I added lots of Wink of Stella on top and shimmery gem centres too.

The floral paper on the base (Floral Impressions) and checked paper (Butterfly Kisses) are both retired. I embossed the floral paper with my all time fave Subtle folder before adding the rectangle floral panel and mat on top.

The sentiment is also from the retired set Inspired Thoughts. I cut it out with a Stylish Shapes pierced die, then I realised the Fragrant Layers die has one in it too.

Inside there's more of the both papers and another of the floral die cuts and another sentiment from Inspired Thoughts.
