JAI 472 sketch challenge - Perfectly Plaid Christmas tree card

It's only five days until the 2019 Christmas-Holiday Catalogue begins (yay!) so I'm counting down with a Christmas card made with some of my faves, and the new Just Add Ink challenge sketch.

Tina came up with this week's sketch and I think it's a goodie with all sorts of possibilities.

I've made this clean & fresh Christmas card with the Perfectly Plaid stamp set & pine tree punch bundle - a bargain must - and fun Let it Snow paper pack.

How cute is that tree?! It's just one of the tree images in the Perfectly Plaid stamp set.
I stamped it in shaded spruce ink - a modern take on a traditional Christmas green, then dotted with a light real red Blend marker and some clear Wink of Stella.

I punched out the stamped tree & two plain white trees using the new Pine Tree punch (can you say quick and easy!), coloured the plain ones with a light Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blend marker then layered them together.

The beautiful stamped sentiment - also from Perfectly Plaid - was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink too. I love the little touch of shine from the Woven Threads sequins from the Annual Catalogue.

I built the main sketch elements using two fresh prints from the Let it Snow Specialty paper pack. This pack has a combination of fresh prints on one side and fun, glittery Christmas images on the other side. The best of both worlds.

I must mention that the red is not displaying properly in my pics. It looks much more orange in the pics than in real life, where it's a definitely lovely Real Red.

Inside, there's a coordinating sentiment plus other elements carried over from the front.

So that's my take on the challenge sketch. I hope you'll try it yourself. Start by checking out how our Just Add Ink team have used it - now on the Just Add Ink blog.

So why will the Perfectly Plaid bundle perfect for your Christmas creating?
- It's quick and easy to use & includes lots of tree styles & sentiment options to mix and match.
- You can punch trees with any papers you have on hand - tree garlands anyone?
- It's a total bargain at only $54.75 for both the stamp set and punch bundle - remember you save 10% on individual prices when you buy the bundle.

Check out the whole suite on pages 12-14 of the Christmas Holiday Catalogue or in my Stampin' Up! online store from 4 September for even more options to accessorise.
Will you be adding it to your shopping list?

I'll be back next time with something completely different - some guy cards - so pop back soon.

Happy stamping and inky wishes
Di

Your card is gorgeous, Di! the colours are amazing, and that tree is so cute! I think I will have to invest in that punch.
