Hello & welcome. Today I'm sharing my team project for Just Add Ink's latest Choose Two challenge. This week is a Choose Two challenge and my two chosen elements are a fancy edge and a circle. These came together with the pretty floral Blossoms in Bloom stamp set and die bundle to make this thinking of you pop up window card for a friend.
I've made lots of these pop up window cards over the years - I've listed
link to them near the bottom of this post. I love that they look like a
regular card when closed but have a pop up surprise when open.
To create the front, first I cut a floral layer from the front then replaced it with white layers and vellum. (See my next post to see what I did with the piece cut out from the front. No time now!).
Then I cut out a rectangle from the front to enable me to create the pop up window inside and include another decorative edge. I love that the vellum layer on the front means you can see the front floral layer inside the card too.
When the card is opened, the rectangle cut out pops up. Sometimes I include a hidden sentiment or other element that's only seen when open but the floral layers looked so pretty that I left it as is.
So that's my challenge card for this week. Check out all the team's challenge projects on the Just Add Ink blog. We'd love you to play along with the challenge too.
Thanks for visiting today & I hope you liked my card and it's given you some ideas to try. Leave me a comment if you did or if you have questions.
I'll be back with the card I created with the panel cut out from this card front, plus another 2 fun pop up window cards, so keep an eye out for those.
Happy stamping
Di

I love how this very pretty card has been made extra special by being a pop up. so clever and very effective. I also love the fact that that wonderful die has an outline too, so many possibilities xx
Oh, how pretty! The pink and white looks so beautiful. And what a wonderful surprise when the card is opened!
Thanks so much for your lovely comment. It really is a lovely die.
