Hello & welcome to a new project share for this week's Just Add Ink challenge suggested by Kerry - Just Add your favourite animal.
The trickiest part of this challenge was choosing my favourite animal. It's like choosing your favourite human or fur child. After much pondering I chose whales - and made a thank you card for a dear & amazing friend.
I mixed new and old goodies on my card - new Waves dies & Blue foils from the Waves of the Ocean collection (see & click image at end of post to see all items), current Amazing Thanks dies & Whale Punch, and papers from the Whale of a Time paper pack. (retired sadly in 2021 & one of our most beautifully illustrated packs ever - a big call I know). Take a look at how it turned out.

I started by cutting 3 large Waves die shapes using each of the foil card colours - silver, coastal cabana & navy - and partially cut another wave from a long, underwater themed piece of the Whale of a Time paper, making sure not to cut through to the bottom edge of the die to keep the paper intact. This enabled me to create an underwater scene with layered foil waves at the top.
Then I created an underwater section, punching out whales from the Whale of a Time paper and fussy cutting some smaller ones. Tip - add a cardstock layer behind the punched paper shapes for more sturdiness - especially if you're popping shapes on dimensionals.
The 'Thanks' sentiment on the front and 'you are amazing' inside is from the fab two layer die set - Amazing Thanks. I cut a navy and vellum layers for both, then popped 'thanks' up on a patterned paper banner (end cut with the Banner Pick a Punch).

The iridescent rhinestones give a look of air bubbles. Silly me realised after I could have used the gorgeous rhinestones in the Waves of the Ocean collection too.
Inside is another beautiful paper from the Whale of a Time pack, and another punched whale. I've added card to the inside left since I photographed too - to add some more writing space.
So that's my challenge card. I hope you like it and gives you some ideas to try. Check out all the DT's favourite animal cards on the Just Add Ink blog, then share a project with us too.
While the paper is no longer available, all the other supplies are currently available in my store - supply list linked here & below. The Waves of the Ocean paper currently available includes lots of papers to also create your own watery scene and you'll find lots of sea themed stamps and dies too. Just check out my store.
Thanks for visiting and until next time, happy stamping
