JAI 695 Just Add Chocolate - Mini patterned paper folder

No Cut patterned paper folder using Natures Sweetness patterned paper. Card by DIane Barnes - colourmehappy - stampinupcards - fancy folds - 3d projects

Hello and welcome to a new project share for the Just Add Ink Design Team. This week's challenge is to Just Add Chocolate. Apparently that doesn't mean to just eat chocolate, though I feel it's implied for any chocolate lover.  Nevertheless, I set to creating a chocolate related project.

I remembered that the Nature's Sweetness specialty patterned paper included beautiful cacao/cocoa bean nature specimen images (as well as almond and vanilla images too - all favourite flavours of mine),
So I thought that could be a fun twist on a regular  chocolate project. I also happened to have some yummy Lindt Caramel Square chocolates. So this all lead to a mini version of my favourite No-cut Patterned Paper Folder to hold the chocolate and a message. Here's how it turned out.

JAI 607 Choose two challenge - Cup of Tea card & treats

Handmade tea and friendship card and decorated treat box made with Stampin Up Cup of Tea, Happiness Abounds stamp sets and bundles, Stylish Shapes dies, Butterfly Kisses paper. Card by Di Barnes - Indpependent Demonstrator in Sydney Australia - cardmaking - stamping - card challenges - colourmehappy

Hello & welcome. Today I'm sharing my Design Team project for this week's Just Add Ink Choose Two challenge suggested by... me!

I made a tea themed card for a friend using the Cup of Tea stamp set and bundle and new In Color Stampin Blends markers. I do love a cup of tea and of course time shared with friends is the best... and don't drink coffee (shocking I know to some of you). This card was inspired by some treat boxes I made for last weekend. Here's how the card turned out. See the projects that inspired it later in this post.

JAI 439 - easy reindeer gift box

Hello hello! Today starts our last Just Add Ink challenge for this year - boy that was fast. If you're anything like me, you'll need quick and easy projects to get Christmas prep finished, so this week's challenge project had to be super fast. Luckily, the challenge was a perfect one for quick projects.

Festive Friday on Tuesday - Christmas shine & reindeer

My plans for Festive Friday posts & making my Christmas cards each month haven't been happening for various reasons. Today I have a little time to blog and have just seen some of my favourite Christmas goodies on my SU store Clearance Rack, so Festive Tuesday it is.

Today I'm sharing a couple of my favourite Christmas projects from last year. Both show my favourite element for Christmas cards & gifts - shine. First up is this clean and elegant Christmas card with my favourite reindeer stamp from Santa's Sleigh.

JAI 333 Just Add G for gingerbread

This week we have a new letter challenge at  Just Add Ink & Tina wants us to just add something beginning with G. I chose....gingerbread & made a few goodies with the cute gingerbread stamp from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp & punch bundle.

First up is this card with a sweet gingerbread pair stamped in soft suede ink.

This one became one of my cards for my first Christmas class of this year as I really liked how it turned out. First, I dressed up the punched gingerbread using the stamped & punched bow & punched heart from the bundle.

The 'frosting' patterned dsp pairs nicely with the iced gingerbread. This is from the Candy Cane Lane dsp pack (part of our buy 3, get 1 free offer in October).
I repeat stamped the piece of kraft cardes behind the gingies with a sentiment from possibly my all time favourite Christmas. sentiment set yet - Wonderful Year. I've used two more of these stamps inside the card. LOVE!

The gingerbread people are super cute for coordinated tags too. The right & left tags are stamped in soft suede & the middle one in crumb cake.
I cut the tags from scraps of crumb cake & white card which I punched with the scallop tag topper & corner rounder punches. Some Candy Cane Lane washi, twine & dsp adds some fun details.

the happy face sentiment is also from Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle.

The little house is fussy cut from a piece of Candy Cane Lane dsp & to/from sentiment is from Cookie Cutter Christmas.

I used a sentiment from Tin of Tags for this tag & crumb cake ink for this gingerbread.

Treats too

Gingy (& his friends from the Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle) are also brilliant for little Christmas treats for school mates. This gingerbread gained a Santa hat using the Jolly Hat builder punch & some red punched hearts to make him even more festive.

I filled 1 x 8 inch (2.5cm & 20cm) cello bag with yummy mint flavour Crispy M&Ms. This size cello bag was retired but packs of 50 are temporarily available at a bargain price on the SU Clearance Rack while stocks last. I have stocked up. Here's gingy close up.

Gingy is just one of the cute little Christmas peeps in the Cookie Cutter Christmas. I'll share some more of them through this month. For now, here's a final pic of all the gingy treats together.
Pin it for later inspiration & check out the supply lists below to see & order anything I've used.

Inky wishes,
Di
