Hello and welcome to my Just Add Ink team project share for this week's Choose Two challenge with the options of water, wall, or garden.  I did a fair amount of head scratching trying to work out which elements to choose or make with the supplies I have.

I decided to go with water and garden, creating this peaceful, coastal garden scene using the lovely, intricate Grove dies, and retiring favourite, the Inspired Thoughts stamp set. Here's how it turned out.

Sea turtle diorama birthday

Hello and welcome! Today's share is another turtle card made with the Sea Turtle stamp set. This is the first of two turtle started out with leftovers from making this sea turtle shadow box card and other random scrap, You know I love to play with scraps.

I'm happy that the Sea Turtle set is carrying over to the new 23-24 Annual Catalogue so it will be swimming with us for a while yet. Sadly most of the other supplies I used - the Layering Diorama dies,  and Paradise Palms stamp set (and coordinating Palms dies) and patterned paper are being discontinued.

Anyway I digress. Take a look at the finished card. I hope you like it.

Hello & welcome. Today's project is the second from my Summer in Winter class - a sunset scene featuring masking and ink blending techniques using Blending Brushes, and images from the Let's Set Sail stamp and punch bundle.

We've had lots of amazing sunrises and sunsets in Sydney over Winter, in between tons of rain so I thought it would be fun to recreate them with an idyllic Summer vibe.

I have two versions to show you - the original sample with a soft, dreamy sunset, and a post-class one with much deeper ink blending using the same colours. Here's the original...

JAI 615 inspiration challenge - serene grove neutral birthday

Handmade neutral masculine card using Stampin Up Grove & rectangle dies and Inspired Thoughts stamp set. Card by Di Barnes - Independent Demonstrator in Sydney Australia - stampinupcards - colourmehappy - 2022-23 annual catalogue - cards for guys

Hello and welcome! Today I have a bit of a different card to share, made for this week's Just Add Ink inspiration image challenge. This one definitely was a challenge as the image looked like something I'd be looking at as renovation ideas rather than to make a card.

After quite a bit of thinking I was drawn to the frame and back of the cabana structure, timber and touches of greenery, which gave me the idea to make fun fold card, using the Grove dies and Inspired Thoughts stamp sets.

8 more guy cards with A Good Man

I have eight more guy cards to share with you today - yes eight!

Playing with the A Good Man stamp set was so much fun that I made lots of cards with it, mostly variations on a theme. Some have similar folds, colours, layouts to the first two. It's amazing what you can create by mixing & matching.

I hope you enjoy seeing them all and they inspire you to use some of the ideas to make your own versions. You'll find all the supplies at the bottom of the post to order what you need.
Let's get this project & photo fest on the road.

Two folds - three cards for guys

Ideas for cards for guys always seem to be top of the list of trickiest and most requested cards, so the good news is that I have three guy cards to share with you today, and more to show you next time too.

These were the first project options from my August class, using the A Good Man stamp set. They include many of the same elements, but all have a twist to give a different look. Each person got to choose which version to make & customised it to suit the recipient using the images & sentiments they wanted.

These also received my darling man's seal of approval so I hope you like them too & feel inspired to try making them for your favourite guys. So let's get started. There are LOTS of pics.

JAI 470 Just add no stamping - starry double easel 18th

I'm happy happy happy to be sharing a starry 18th birthday project for today's new Just Add Ink challenge - just add no stamping. No stamping!? No problem I say.

I'd been hoping we'd have stitched stars in the Christmas-Holiday Catalogue (starting 4 September), & was super excited to see there's a FABULOUS bundle called So Many Stars. I was able to pre-order the bundle (you can too when you join SU this month) and thought it would be perfect for the no stamping challenge. I also added a fancy fold - this time a double easel card in landscape mode.

In review - Simple Waterfront scenes

Today I'm looking back to two easy to make cards I made with the clever Waterfront stamp set. I made these for a masculine card class last year, and also for my darling man on Father's day.

Broadway Bound birthday - two way twist

I have another two cards to share today using the Broadway Birthday stamps & die bundle. These were additional easy cards I shared at my masculine class way back in August. For a fun twist, the cards show totally different looks using the same sheet of paper from the Broadway Bound pack.

Had you noticed the pack designs  include one side in a classic combination of neutrals and metallics, and the reverse includes pops of colour. Here's a snapshot of the pack (click on pic for a closer look).

Anyway, back to the cards...

Bold Broadway Birthday gatefold card

Sharing my Broadway Bound double easel card yesterday made me realise I hadn't shared the other cards I'd made with it and the cool Broadway Birthday stamps & die bundle - for my masculine class way back in August. Where have the past few months gone?
Today's card is the class project all my lovelies made. Tomorrow I'll share the other samples I made so pop back again then to see more. But back to today's card...

Birthday milestone double easel card

My darling man celebrated a special '0' birthday last week on our Hawaii holiday so of course I had to make him a card to celebrate and remind him of how loved he is. Another double easel card was just the thing as he really liked this Christmas double easel card, so this is what I came up with.

JAI 423 colour challenge - make a wish

I'm always game to try a new colour combination and this week's challenge combination at Just Add Ink is certainly a new one for me.

I decided to try a graphic, masculine-ish look and this is what I came up with.
