Hello and welcome! Today I'm sharing my team project for Just Add Ink just add a surprise challenge. Fun! What's my surprise? I made a shadow box card - a fancy fold card with a 3d shadow box surprise when the card is opened. I've made lots of these over the years and shared a pdf tutorial previously. I'll link it below.

The stars of this card are beautiful turtles from the Sea Turtle stamp set - new in the January-April Mini Catalogue. I've mixed bits and pieces from other stamp sets and dies too. Here's how it turned out.

Hello & welcome. Today I'm sharing one of my recent class projects and the first of 6 new posts featuring the Sending Smiles stamp and die bundle. This card design was inspired by a beautiful card my darling man gave me for Mother's Day.

You can make beautifully coordinated cards with all the elements in the bundle. Even better, the fab 'Sending' stamp and die and coordinating sentiments play so well with others too.

You'll see them playing very nicely together today teamed with the Hues of Happiness paper and the Amazing Year stamp set.

JAI 574 Choose Two - Sunburst Silhouette

Handmade any occasion sunburst-starburst technique card using Stampin Up Inspired Thoughts stamps & bundle, Meadow dies and Tailor Made Tags dies. Card by Di Barnes - Independent Demonstrator in Sydney Australia - colourmehappy - sydneystamper - 2021 annual catalogue - patterned paper techniques

Hello & welcome to another share. Today I have my Just Add Ink challenge Design Team project. Nikki gave us a Choose Two challenge to include sunshine, a silhouette, or stars. I chose silhouette and sunshine - using a sunburst design.

This challenge stumped me at first but once I thought about using a sunburst design (which can also be called a starburst - weird!) it came together quickly. I mixed and matched a sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set (& bundle) and dies from the Meadow dies set (& Quiet Meadow bundle) and Tailor Made Tags set. Here's the finished card.

JAI 417 Just add T for tri-shutter card

There are lots of T's I could have chosen including Tina herself, but I decided to make a tri-shutter card for a special friend who's celebrating a milestone birthday.

JAI 366 Just Add A & Disney

It's time for another letter challenge at Just Add Ink and Tina asked us to Just Add A, which means we needed to include an occasion, item, colour, technique, or anything else beginning with A. Awesome! So what A's did I include in this happy little card?

Did you guess Alphabet stamps... & Age? Then you're spot on.

The recipient is a Disney fan (as am I - who isn't really?) so that gave me my theme. Some black (retired) & dazzling diamonds glimmer papers gave me all the sparkle that a 21st needed, & a red spotty paper bow (bow builder punch) made a fun Minnie touch. The head silhouette & number are both popped up on dimensionals for more depth.

I stamped the saying with the Labeler alphabet stamp set & used a die cut heart instead of the word heart. Disney fans will recognise the lyrics from the song of the same name from Cinderella. The song just popped into my mind & I thought it worked really well for the lovely recipient.

I carried the theme on the back too. Love that large, many font sentiment from the Big on Birthdays stamp set.

Of course my trusty centre step card tutorial came to the rescue again to make the base card. Oh how I love that fold. This is my original size version, cut from a regular card base (half an A4 sheet). See how it looks flat, below.

Note: this sized centre step card normally fits a standard C6 card envelope, but this Disney one may need a custom envelope, as the ears are higher than the card top. However, the envelope punch board will fix that almost before you can say bibbidi-bobbidi-boo.

Want to make your own centre step card?

See & download my centre step card tutorial pdf in this post

So that's my A card. If you love it, pin the image below for later inspiration. Then head over to Just Add Ink to see all the A's the team have used in their projects. Thanks for visiting today & hope to see you here again soon.

I have tons of projects to be photographed & share with you soon so pop back again to visit. Until then,

Inky wishes, Di
