Today's day 3 of my Daisy Delight review & I'm sharing another fun daisy project with you. This one is mainly thanks to my dear friend, Kellie. She shared a very similar version of this card at our SU team get together in May. I loved the simple, asymmetrical layout & fresh, bold daisy, so I made this almost identical version for my Daisy Delight class in June.
This stamped images are in-colours berry burst, fresh fig, & powder pink ink, plus wild wasabi. Normally, I'd use the same cardstock colours, ie berry burst & powder pink, but we actually used the similar rose red and blushing bride, which work really well too. How gorgeous are the clear faceted gems too.
The second version is almost the same, except that I've changed up the sentiment, and lightly coloured the daisies with a blender pen & watercolour pencils.
If you're thinking the daisy colours look slightly different, yes they are. The stamped images are both Berry Burst. I used a light touches of Melon Mambo pencil on the left daisy and Rich Razzleberry pencil on the right. Both colours are deep pigments so you need to add very little colour. I normally wouldn't include two colours but thought it's interesting seeing the shade difference.
Here's a side by side comparison of the two cards, that you can pin for later.
Until then, inky wishes,
Di
