Hello & welcome to another project share., I'm here with my latest Just Add Ink challenge Design Team card. This week we've been challenged to add a moving element. So many choices!
I started by choosing to make a pop up slider card as my moving part. They look like a regular card when closed but give a pop up surprise. I've made lots of these over the years and thankfully wrote a tutorial last time so I didn't even have to re-figure out the measurements. Win!
I just got the beautiful Words of Cheer stamp set and die bundle too so that was an easy choice. A floral Christmas pop up slider card it is.

I just got the beautiful Words of Cheer stamp set and die bundle too so that was an easy choice. A floral Christmas pop up slider card it is.
Here's how it looks closed.
See the tab with ribbon pull up the top? Pull it gently out & the front pops up revealing a Christmas message.
The card base is Evening Evergreen and is paired with a striped paper from the Tidings of Christmas pack.
I started by stamping two of the floral images in the Words of Cheer stamp set using black Memento ink then coloured it using Stampin Blends markers.
The colours are light & dark Petal Pink, light Calypso Coral, light
Poppy Parade for the flowers, then light & dark Just Jade and Mint
Macaron for the holly & foliage. I coloured around the image with a light Pool Party marker.
The happy sentiment is layered with Just Jade and vellum then mounted on Petal Pink card.
But back to the slider, here's how it looks when open. The patterned paper piece and the tab are attached together and these are the key to the pop
up. My tutorial includes a template for standard sized card fronts using
A4 card or 8.5 x 11 inch card. See this below.
Inside the card includes elements of the card front and another great sentiment from Words of Cheer.
I hope you liked my moving element project. Head to the Just Add Ink blog to see all the team's challenge projects. I hope you'll try the challenge too.

My Pop up Slider Tutorial & Template
I wrote a tutorial after I made this succulent pop up slider card. The good news is that the base template and instructions in the tutorial works for today's card and all my past all my Pop Up Slider Cards here. Here's a peek at it and the template.
Note: I hope you find my tutorial helpful for your projects. If you'd like to share the info with others, please direct anyone to this post to download the document. Do not host or share the actual pdf download anywhere online. Thanks for respecting my time and creativity.
Thanks for visiting today. I hope my project or tutorial has inspired you to try something new or revisit a past favourite. Until next time.
