More Christmas cards with foil

Today it's time for some silver foil snowflake doily fun. Like yesterday's gold foil card, it's a quick and easy design - we need these at Christmas especially for mass producing - but the foil & z fold makes it interesting too.

The design is clean and simple but the full supply list is longer than you might think, as I've mixed & matched a couple of stamp sets and die sets - the thrill of having new toys! I'm sure you could omit or substitute some items though.

One item you must have is the silver foil snowflake doily, as the detail & shine adds such a festive touch.

I love the look of the overlapped navy 'merry & bright' (Hearts Come Home) & snowflake (Snowflake Sentiments). I cut these out with a Stitched Shapes circle & Layering Circle scallop. You could just use the Layering Circle dies for both shapes. The foil pops so well on the navy panel.

The edges are rounded with a corner rounder punch (now retired). You could use the corner rounder on the Envelope Punch Board if you have it (& if not - you must!). Of course I had to add a banner too, cut with my trust Banner Triple Punch.

The simple z fold adds an element of interest. I've embossed the front panel with my new favourite folder, the Quilt Top embossing folder. Love the pierced design. You may have missed this one in the Holiday Catalogue, but it's another must have.

I repeated the rounded panel inside the card, keeping it simple with another sentiment from Hearts Come Home.

Simple Silver foil

If you want to make it even quicker, here's a simplified version with a regular fold & less layers.

As well as changing the base colour, I used a marina mist scallop plus soft sky & smoky slate banner.

So that's two more snowflake cards for you to try. Which one do you like more? Either way I hope you'll try these ideas & make your own variations too. Pin them for later inspiration too.

Thanks for visiting today. I'll be back with another foil card designed by my stamping bff, Kellie, so pop back soon. Check out the supply list below & shop with me if you'd like to make these cards too.

Inky wishes, Di
