Timeless Tropical Birthdays 1

Today I'm sharing a card made with the Tropical Oasis suite of products, which I used in my ummm... end of February class - those so long ago days when we could spend time in person with each other and before life at home became a bit crazy too.

I just love the hibiscus & frangipani flowers, and general vintage vibe in the Timeless Tropical stamp die bundle, and Tropical Oasis paper I've used. They so remind me of our trips to Hawaii. Since we won't be getting back there any time soon I can at least dream of it with my cards.

This card features the Timeless Tropical - In the Tropics stamp and die bundle, Tropical Oasis paper pack and Braided Burlap trim from the suite.

The class focused on using different heat embossing techniques. For this card, I showed how to create lovely, glossy heat embossed images in any colour using a  clearVersaMark pad and any of our Stampin' Up! ink pads.

The hibiscus flower is heat embossed in Poppy Parade and the leaves are heat embossed Pear Pizzazz ink. The photos just don't show the lovely deep colours & gloss seen IRL. The frangipani is simply stamped in Saddle Brown Staz On ink - also perfect for the vintage vibe.

Once embossed, we coloured the hibiscus and frangipani with Watercolour Pencils and used an Aqua Painter to blend the colours to create the multicoloured look.

The sentiment is from the same Timeless Tropical bundle, stamped on Very Vanilla card with soft suede ink (stamped off) - how cool are the font choices in this set! Both the stitched shapes I used are from the So Sentimental bundle, which includes the Stitched So Sweetly die set). The Braided Burlap Trim too adds to the island-tropical vibe too.

The paper at the back is a fab print from the Tropical Oasis pack - sadly it (& the Braided Burlap Trim) are only available while stocks last until June 2nd, as they're not carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue. Get yours now if you love it.

Inside is a coordinating sentiment from the same Timeless Tropical bundle and hibiscus stamped in calypso coral. It looks great stamped so simply too. Super simple but it shows how lovely the hibiscus is even when stamped normally. It's one of our DistInktive stamps which shows lots of detail with just one colour.

Here's a final look at what's included in the Timeless Tropical bundle - the Timeless Tropical stamp set and coordinating In the Tropics die set, which cuts out the main images in the set plus some stand-alone die cuts like the fab pineapple - which you'll see on another card.

Get your bundle now before the 10% off discount bundle pricing ends on June 2nd. They'll be available separately at regular prices in the new Annual Catalogue though. Phew!

In the meantime I have 3... actually 4 more cards to share with you using this bundle but I'm out of time for now so I'll say bye but will be back soon.

Happy stamping & inky wishes,
Di
